Warriors face test at Garber Tournament

Six ranked teams from three classes square off in girls bracket, three in boys

The Okarche girls and boys basketball teams head to Garber for a 2018 Garber Tournament loaded with competition and ranked teams in both brackets.

Six of the eight teams in the girls brackets are ranked throughout Class 2A, Class A and Class B, including the Warriors who are ranked No. 5 in Class A.

The Warriors tip off the tournament against Class B Shidler at 3:50 p.m. Thursday. The winner goes on to face the winner between Class B No. 2 Lomega and Class A No. 17 Ripley in the semifinals. No. 18 Garber takes on Class B No. 19 Mulhall-Orlando in the bottom half of the bracket and will take on the winner of Class 2A No. 7 Cashion and Class B Deer Creek-Lamont in the semis.

The first game of the semifinals is scheduled for 3:50 p.m. Friday and the second game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The first game of the consolation bracket tips off at 10:30 a.m. Friday followed by the second game at 1:10 p.m. The consolation championship game is scheduled at 3:50 p.m. Saturday.

Three of the eight boys teams enter the tournament ranked in Class A and Class B, including No. 6 Okarche who tips off against Class B Mulhall-Orlando Thursday at 5:10 p.m. with the winner taking on either Class 2A Cashion or Class B Deer Creek-Lamont in the semifinals.

No. 9 Garber takes on Class B Shidler in the top half of the bracket with the winner facing either Class B No. 8 Lomega or Ripley in the semis.

The first game of the semifinals is scheduled for 5:10 p.m. Friday followed by the second game at 7:50 p.m.

The championship game is scheduled for 7:50 p.m. Saturday.
