Warriors guard Cris Avila continues to rack up honors following his senior season. And girls senior Kassidy Rother received a major honor as well.

Avila was recently named to the Chisholm Trail Broadcasting All-Star Boys Basketball Team along with players from Class B to Class 6A in northwest Oklahoma.

The team reflects the best and brightest of what high school girls and boys basketball is all about in northwest Oklahoma according to the CTB Sports website. The players will be honored at the annual CTB Sports All-Star Basketball Banquet on April 24 at Sride Bank Center at 6:30 p.m.

Avila led the Warriors in scoring, assists and steals during the 2018-19 season, helping lead the team to the 2019 Class A State Tournament for the first time since 2013.

He averaged 17.6 points and just under four rebounds per game while dishing out 143 assists with 120 steals.

He also led the team in three-point makes with 76 and shot over 42-percent from the field overall.

Rother was also named to the All-Star girls team after helping lead the Warriors to the Class A area tournament finals this season – just one game away from the state tournament. Rother was one of the team’s leading scorers, rebounders and defenders for coach Kelli Jennings’ squad that went 25-7 and finished the regular season ranked No. 9.
