Wesley E. Higgins died May 16, 2019, at his home in El Reno. Services were held 10 a.m. Monday (May 20) at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Jeff Klade officiating.
Burial was in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
Wes was born August 11, 1962, at Pueblo, Colorado, but lived in El Reno most of his life.
He was a heavy equipment operator and owner of Wes Higgins, Inc. He enjoyed life especially spending time with his family, friends and grandsons and also traveling, camping, and motorcycling.
His membership in the Trinity Lutheran Church was an important part of his life
On July 4, 2003, Wes married Kathy Rother. Kathy survives him.
He is also survived by his children, Stephanie Cooper and husband, Jason, of El Reno and Trevor Higgins and Aspen Handley also of El Reno; brother, Ronald Higgins of El Reno; sister, Saundra Black of El Reno; and grandchildren, Carson, Bryson and Hudson Cooper and Rhyatt Higgins.
His parents, Euil and Geraldine (Manning) Higgins preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Russell Murray Hospice, 2001 Parkview Dr., El Reno, OK or St. Judes.
