Okarche’s youth softball camp was a success.

Coach Brandon Treece and the Warriors worked with nearly 40 youth players from first to seventh grade last week.

The team’s players and coaches worked with youth players on defense, hitting, pitching, base running and more. They spend 10 minutes at different stations working on the fundamentals of each aspect of the game according to Treece.

“It was a lot of fun,” Treece said. “We were able to teach a lot of kids something and really reach out to the community and work with the youth. We had a great turnout and it was great for everyone involved.”

The team also awarded camper of the day for each day and grouped together for a photo with all players involved wearing their camp t-shirts.

“We really wanted to reward the kids that listened and worked the hardest,” Treece said of camper of the day. “I think it turned out to be a great success.”
