The Canadian County Treasurer’s office is accepting tax payments through their website and by mail, according to a news release from Treasurer Carolyn Leck.

“In light of the concerns for the health and well-being of the public as well as our employees, we are encouraging people to utilize our website for second half ad valorem tax payments or returning your second half stub by mail,” the release states.

“If you do not have a checking account, please DO NOT send cash, but obtain a money order.”

Because of the State of Emergency issued by Governor Stitt, the treasurer’s office will accept second half payments through April 15, 2020.

Title companies filing mortgage taxes are encouraged to use Simplifile for electronic filing, the release states.
