Patients treated at Canadian County hospital for COVID-19

Hospital has isolated COVID-19 patients Wednesday

At least two people are hospitalized in Yukon with COVID-19, hospital officials have confirmed.

Patients are being treated at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital Wednesday. Two patients are on ventilators.

Hospital President Teresa Gray said patients are being treated in an isolated, contained area. Patients are in stable to critical condition, she said.

“Patient and caregiver safety is number one,” Gray said. “We are following best practices and CDC guidelines.”

Statewide, there are 164 cases with five of the cases in Canadian County, the Oklahoma State Department of Health has reported. There are 55 cases in Oklahoma County. Five deaths have been reported in the state.

No cases had been reported in Kingfisher County Wednesday.

The age range of patients affected statewide is infant to 91 years-old.
