Kaleb Harris was selected to the 2020 Oklahoma Coaches Association Class A All-Star team, which was released last week on the OCA website.

The Okarche senior averaged 18.4 points per game over 29 games played during the 2019-20 season, helping lead the Warriors to a 15-14 record and a district championship. He also finished fourth in Class A in steals (80), fifth in free-throw percentage (71.6-percent) and 11th in assists (79).

Okarche coach Aaron West loved what he saw from Harris over the past two seasons as both an assistant and head coach.

“He was a hard worker and a great leader,” West said of Harris. “He always went hard, brought it and played with a chip on his shoulder.

“He played a lot as a junior on that state tournament team and then really stepped it up to carry most of the load this year. It shows you he was a top-5 player in Class A.”

Harris started two years, playing for the late Ray West during his junior campaign while helping lead the team to the Class A semifinals. He was also named to the 2020 Three Rivers All-Conference Team along with teammate Evan Endres.

The All-State games and events are scheduled to be played in July.
