Okarche Town Trustees voted in a Monday night meeting to open the swimming pool.
The pool will reopen Friday, May 22.
Staff at the pool will take extra precautions to keep the pool clean, said Mayor Jeff Sadler.
Lifeguards are being hired for the season.
The pool has a capacity of about 130 people. Only 60 people will be allowed at one time.
A closing date was not set for the end of the season. Schools have not announced a start date for fall and other area youths may not be going off to college yet in August.
“These kids need something to do,” Sadler said.
Improvements have been made at the pool this year, Sadler said.
