From Staff Reports
Holy Trinity Catholic School in Okarche has hired a new principal.
Alice Newman, a native of southwest Oklahoma, has 27 years of teaching experience and a masters degree in school administration, according to a news release form the school.
Newman also has a background in public relations and marketing and is a former director of religious education.
“We are excited to have Mrs. Newman here with us as our new principal at Holy Trinity,” said Rev. Cory Stanley. “Holy Trinity Catholic School has a long history of excellence and enjoys strong support from our families, our alumni, and our community. I am eager to collaborate with Mrs. Newman as we continue building upon this solid foundation.”
Newman said one of the first things she did as new principal was send out an extensive survey to parents.
“We got valuable feedback and were pleased to see such positive reviews,” Newman said. “The thing that stood out most was that 100% of parents who responded said they would recommend Holy Trinity to other families. We look forward to building on that strength and increasing enrollment numbers.”
Newman said that she is happy to be at Holy Trinity.
“Everyone has been so welcoming. The faculty and staff are very professional people who enjoy what they do. The restrooms are being totally remodeled, and we are getting new flooring in the hallway. I’m looking forward to beginning this next school year and to seeing all of our students and staff back in the classrooms.”
Enrollment packets for the 20-21 school year are available in the school office, or call Lenda Schaefer at (405) 263-4422.
