Paul Joseph Annuschat

Paul Annuschat

Paul “Mac” Joseph Annuschat, 68, of Okarche, passed away
Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma
City.

He was the oldest child born July 19, 1952, to Arthur Frank
Annuschat and Ruth Janet (Brueggen) Annuschat.

He grew up on the family farm east of Okarche with his
brothers Nick and Ron until his death.

He graduated in the top of his class from Okarche High
School in 1970.

Paul was a farmer/rancher and a dairyman, but his greatest
passion was his Holstein dairy cows.

He was awarded Top Dairyman for Excellence and Dairy
Quality through Dairy Farmers of America along with his
late brother Stanley.

He worked on the family farm alongside his brothers, many
nephews, and his late father.

If you ever stopped by the farm for a visit, one could find
Paul riding side saddle on his cycle through the yard.

It wasn’t uncommon for him to stop and admire the new
puppies, baby lambs or the calves along his way to the milk
barn.

If he was missing, you could count on finding him napping
in his chair in one of the barns, holding his calico cat,
Callie.

He did not start out wanting to be a farmer in his younger
days, but explored being a barber.

Paul and his brother Stanley took their sister Vicki into the
utility room and cut off her pig tails. Their mother nipped it
in the bud on barber school for either of the boys that day.

Paul only had one major concern in the last few years of life
and that was where his sister Sandy was taking him out to
eat after his doctor appointments.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in
Okarche and Dairy Farmers of America.

He is survived by his brother Larry Annuschat of Okarche; sisters Vicki Marks
(Terry) of Omega, Sandy Raupe (Richard) of Okarche,
Denise Meyer (Mike) of Salina, Kan., and Jackie Walta
(Chris) of Kingfisher. Also mourning the loss of Uncle Mac,
as he was fondly referred to, are his many nephews, nieces,
great-nephews and great-nieces who visited often on the
farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents Art and Ruth
Annuschat and brothers Stanley, David,  and Ron Annuschat.

Paul will always be remembered for his great big smile
riding his cycle through the yard and now he is riding off
into the sunset to start his new life with his Heavenly
Father.

Public viewing was Friday, Nov. 6, at
Sanders Funeral Service in Kingfisher.

A private graveside service for immediate family was
Saturday, Nov. 7, at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in
Okarche. It was officiated by Father Cory Stanley and
Pastor James Inman.

Services were under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service,
Kingfisher.

Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church,
Center of Family Love and First Baptist Church all of
Okarche.
