From Staff Reports
Okarche town officials offered a place for residents to drop off their tree debris after the Oct. 26 ice storm.
A pile was located off 4th Street, N2820 Road about a half mile north of Community National Bank.
Residents were able to take their tree debris to the pile and public works crews helped unload it.
The brush dump site was open for self-unloading Nov. 27-Nov. 28.
It was last call for limbs, trees and brush, from the storm, according to a Town of Okarche social media post.
There are still down limbs in some yards, town officials reported.
Limbs cannot be dropped off at the town’s roll-off dumpster.
Grant Kuehn, Okarche Public Works Director, said the town has a permit from the State Department of Environmental Quality to burn the pile.
A date to burn the pile has not been set, a town official said.
