In the wake of five recent deaths in the parish community from COVID-19, Okarche’s Holy Trinity Catholic Church has observed Thursday as the Oklahoma Day of Prayer and Fasting as declared by Gov. Stitt.
In a letter to the parish family, Father Cory Stanley wrote:
“Dear Holy Trinity Family,
I am praying that you are all well this evening.
Recently we have been having a hard time here in Okarche-mourning the loss of so many friends and family members and praying for those who are sick.
Please join me in observing tomorrow, (Thursday) as a day of prayer and fasting in response to Governor Stitt’s declaration for Oklahomans and help me to spread the word on social media.
Our Holy Trinity Church is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day. Please come any time to pray and to adore our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
May God heal our hearts, those who are sick, and the divisions within our broken world.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Stanley”
