The Okarche Warriors basketball team led an Oklahoma City 6A high school most of the game, but lost Tuesday night with a slower-scoring fourth quarter.
The Warriors fell 39-36 to the U.S. Grant Generals at Okarche High School Gymnasium.
Warriors senior Logan Kroener lead the team in scoring with 13 points. Brayden Stover and P.K. Harris tossed in six points apiece in the loss. Wyatt Pinkerton had four points. Alex Hawk pitched in three points, and Tanner McMillin and Evan Endres contributed a bucket apiece.
The Warriors led at halftime 18-16. The third quarter ended 29-25 in the Warriors favor. The fourth quarter did not go Okarche’s way, however. U.S. Grant pulled away with 14 points to win 39-36. Okarche scored just seven points in the fourth quarter.
The boys play in the Coyle Invitational Tournament starting Thursday, Jan. 21. Okarche plays Okeene at 7:20 p.m. Thursday. The tournament goes through Saturday.
