The Canadian County Health Department began a daily COVID-19 vaccination
clinic in a pod the week of Jan. 21 at El Reno’s First Baptist Church. Shots are given from 8 a.m. until noon, and both the Moderna vaccine and the Pfizer-BioNTech booster shots are being administered. Residents must use the State of Oklahoma’s Vaccine Scheduling Portal (vaccinate.oklahoma.gov) to make an appointment. A 102-year-old man from Del City, Bernard Kramer, drove to the El Reno clinic last week, on Thursday, Jan. 21, for a first dose of the vaccine.
