Okarche High School has selected the December Lion and Lioness.
The award is based on not only scholarship, but also leadership, character, and responsibility, according to a statement from the high school.
December’s honorees are seniors Madison Owens and Tyler Schwarz.
Okarche High School Lions and Lionesses chosen for the months of August through November 2020 were Evan Endres and Lexi Taylor, August and September, McKenzie Stewart and Trenton Niederer, October, and Payton Kerby and Mackenzie Schneiter, for November.
Those selected for this recognition must be a junior or senior and are chosen for their scholarship, leadership, willingness to help others, self-motivation and self-discipline, according to a news release from the school.
