The Okarche Community Fair March 19 and 20 at the Okarche High School, 632 W. Oklahoma Avenue featured animals and local youth, and even an award for the loudest dog.
The event included many competitions and opportunities, plus a lot of smiles and laughter.
Entries in the dog show included Hoss, a mini-Australian Shepherd owned by Katie Endress and her children Wagoner and Andie.
Hoss won a prize for the loudest dog. Christina Marinelli’s cocker spaniel and west highland white terrier mix, Sammie, won the award for the best behaved dog. Tilly, owned by Blakeley Stephens, won the award for best dressed dog.
The fair included a large number of 4-H competitions for all ages, ranging from shooting sports, entomology, sewing, and baking, to woodcraft and oil paintings, and everything in between.
