John Eischen

John Eischen was born to Jack and Anna (Naberhaus) Eischen on October 29, 1932, in Okarche, Oklahoma and died peacefully on March 29, 2021.

John graduated from Holy Trinity School in 1950 and Oklahoma A&M with a Doctorate of Veterinary Science in 1956. He married Anita (Hufnagel) Eischen on August 17, 1957. He joined the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1959.

John was a successful businessman, founding the Canadian Valley Animal Clinic in 1959 and the Big Red Dog Food Company in 1968.

After a successful private practice, he continued his veterinary career with the USDA.

He was an entrepreneur, farmer, rancher, home builder, lifetime Elks Lodge member, Knights of Columbus member and friend of Bill W. for 39 years.

John is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anita (Hufnagel) Eischen, children Suzanne Clem, Pete (Christi) Eischen, Mary (Gary) Brinkley, Amy (Mark) Walters, George (Michell) Eischen, grandchildren Andrea (Jose) Blanco, Alexa (Travis) Spain, Autumn (Steven) Pamplin, Evan Clem, Megan (Nick) Ewing, Jeff Eischen, Ryan (Kerry), Jordan (Kelly) and Connor (Kourtney) Brinkley, Reagen, Melissa, Matthew and Madison Walters, Jonathan (Chelsea), Jacob and Jay Eischen, great-grandchildren William, John and Caroline Blanco, Oliver Spain, Uzra Pamplin, Alexander and Callie Ewing, Ellie and Lucy Brinkley, Taylor and Hayden Brinkley.

He is also survived by siblings Jim (Pat) Eischen, Mary Kretchmar, Ed (Marcella) Eischen, Paul Eischen, Betty (Lynn) McGarvin, Helen (Norbert) Gerber and Nick (Karla) Eischen.

He was proceeded in death by siblings George Eischen and Barbara Bowen.

A private family funeral Mass, officiated by Father Cory Stanley, was held on March 31, 2021, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with internment at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Okarche, Oklahoma.
