The City of Piedmont’s Eggstravaganza drew crowds downtown on Saturday, April 3.
And 10,000 plastic eggs filled with candy and Bible verses awaited those who were of age to race for the eggs.
Children ages 2 and up gathered eggs in their baskets during the event.
Prizes were given away to those who found the lucky prize eggs.
Axl Hall, 9, and Shauna Hall, of Oklahoma City, visited the face painting booth Abby Goldstein, 5, of Piedmont, was excited to gather plastic eggs.
Christen Mayabb and Mayor Kurt Mayabb stood in front of the prizes given away by those who found a prize plastic egg.
There were food trucks and locally grown plants for sale at the event. About 1,000 people attended.
Members of the First Baptist Church of Piedmont helped stuff the plastic eggs with Bible verses and Jolly Ranchers and other treats.
The Grove family and others spent their day volunteering at the egg hunt and helped organize all four of the hunts, or rather races, for eggs for the various groups of children 2 and older.
