Okarche High School’s Class of 2021 walked across the stage Friday night as graduates, and the commencement ceremony ended an unprecedented year.
The 29 seniors were in school five days a week for the entire school year, with only a few virtual days during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I personally want to thank the teachers, coaches, administrators and support staff for making it possible for us to be here today,” said salutatorian Nick Baustert in his commencement speech.

“Thank you all for making our high school experience truly memorable,” Baustert said.
The Okarche Schools pep band performed during the commencement, opening with “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
