A fundraiser has been set up to help an Okarche family that has endured tragedy this year, said Principal Alice Newman at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Okarche.
A hot dog and hamburger dinner will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 at the Holy Trinity Parish Hall after the 5 p.m. Mass. Donations will be taken at the dinner.
Newman reports that pre-kindergarten student Blaine Stursa recently lost his father, Joshua Stursa. Joshua Stursa died unexpectedly. Kirsten Stursa is the daughter of Keith and Bonnie Mueggenborg.
The Stursa family also lost their home in a fire earlier this year.
The Okarche Knights of Columbus Post 3220 is assisting with the fundraiser.
