Okarche sweeps Cement in first games back from break

Okarche’s basketball teams cruised Tuesday night to easy wins in their first games back from Thanksgiving break.

Emma Stover scored 13 and Jalie Rother chipped in with 12 as the second-ranked Lady Warriors won by 50, 68-18, versus an overmatched Cement squad.

OHS led 24-0 after a quarter and extended its lead to 47-6 by halftime.

Ryen Wittrock added nine points and Jadyn Rother had eight.

The Warriors rolled, too.

Five Okarche players totaled double figures led by P.K. Harris‘ 16 points and 10 rebounds in an 83-31 win.

Evan Endres (14), Hunter Mueggenborg (13), Brayden Stover (11) and Wyatt Pinkerton (10) all scored at least 10.

The Warriors shot better than 50 percent for the game.

Okarche hosts Fairview Friday night for its homecoming game.
