The Okarche Lions Club members recently raised money for the community at their annual German dinner.
Okarche High School boys basketball team members, and others helped with the Deutschesfest German dinner fundraiser in Okarche at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
The fundraiser also supports the Camp Goddard program.
Okarche Lions Club President Keith Griesel recently gave a check to Okarche Public Schools Superintendent Josh Sumrall for $500. Also, $250 was donated to the fifth and sixth grade program Camp Goddard and $250 for the Okarche Elementary School cafeteria, said Tom Schaefer, Okarche Lions Club Secretary.
