Heaven gained a special angel with the sudden loss of Anita Eischen on Dec. 2.
Anita Mae Hufnagel was born May 30, 1934, in Okarche, Oklahoma, to John and Mildred Hufnagel, one of their 11 children. She married John Eischen on Aug. 17, 1957. They shared 62 years of marriage before John’s death in 2021.

Anita was cherished and deeply loved by her children: Suzanne Clem, Pete Eischen (Christi), Mary  Brinkley (Gary), Amy Walters (Mark) and George Eischen (Michell); her grandchildren: Andrea Blanco, Alexa Spain (Travis), Autumn Pamplin (Steven), Evan Clem, Megan Ewing (Nick), Jeff Eischen, Ryan Brinkley (Kerry), Jordan Brinkley (Kelly), Connor Brinkley (Kourtney), Reagen Walters, Matthew Walters, Melissa Walters, Madison Walters, Jonathan Eischen (Chelsea), Jacob Eischen (Caylee) and Jay Eischen (Brylee); and her great-grandchildren: William Blanco, John Blanco, Caroline Blanco, Oliver Spain, Uzra Pamplin, Alexander Ewing, Callie Ewing, Ellie Brinkley, Lucy Brinkley, Taylor Brinkley, Hayden Brinkley, Karly Brinkley and JD Eischen.

Anita’s life was completed with the friendship and love of the staff and residents of Saint Katharine Drexel.

Her life was fulfilled in service to others, and her outpouring of love to all she came in contact with will leave an indelible mark. She will always remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A rosary will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. at Huber-Benson Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian burial on Friday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m.  at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, El Reno.
