Two Okarche High School students were injured Wednesday night when a pickup was struck by a train north of town, authorities reported.
The students in the pickup were not seriously hurt, authorities said.
The collision was about a mile north of downtown Okarche along the train tracks near U.S. 81 and County Road 880 in Kingfisher County.
An Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports states a girl driving west on County Road 880 with a female, juvenile passenger on County Road 880 when the driver failed to yield from a stop sign and the pickup was struck by a southbound train.
The girls were taken to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
