A late offensive surge lifted Okarche over Amber-Pocasset Tuesday, Aug. 29.

The Warriors ended the month of August ranked #10 in Class A fall baseball with a 10-2 record for the first month of the fall season.

Tuesday night at home, an error on a ground ball allowed Jeff Mueggenborg to score the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning. Okarche won 4-3 over Amber-Pocasset, the #5-ranked team in Class A.

The Warriors from Okarche beat the Warriors of Ripley 7-3 in Okarche in the Amber-Pocasset tournament Saturday, Aug. 26.

Friday night, Aug. 25, Okarche dropped a game on a solo homer, 1-0. The team plays at 6 p.m. Saturday against Ripley.

The Warriors beat Verden 10-0 late Thursday in the Amber-Pocasett tournament at Okarche, and the Warriors are set to play an even later game Friday night.

The first pitch is expected about 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25 with Okarche against Calumet

The tournament start times were changed for games in Okarche and at Amber-Pocasset in Amber due to the excessive heat.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for 11 a.m. Friday until 9 p.m. Friday. The high temperature will be near 102 with barely any wind, 6 mph form the south, southwest. Saturday.
While the Warriors fall baseball team has been playing in scorching, summer-time temperatures, they have shown they can take the heat and deliver it.

Okarche downed Drummond Tuesday, Aug. 22, at home 7-0. That happened a day after the Warriors were ranked #10 in state Class A baseball.

With a tournament ahead of them, and the temperatures still dangerously hot, the team was 8-1 as of Friday, Aug. 25.

Coaches and school officials decided to change the start times due to the heat wave.

Amber-Pocasset was ranked #5 in Class A going into the tournament.

Just like the temperatures, the Warriors offense has been hot in August.

In the game against Drummond Tuesday night, the offense was sparked by Cody Endres and Easton Roby. Roby had two RBIs. Roby drove in two runs on a single as the Warriors pulled away on the scoreboard. Luke Hill started the game on the mound.

Okarche was 8-2 on the season before playing Ripley
