Madison Nance, an Okarche senior center fielder and pitcher on the softball team, on Wednesday, Nov. 8 signed a letter of intent to play outfield for Northeastern State University at Tahlequah, said Okarche Head Coach Skye Tilley.
Nance was recently recognized by the All-Region Three Small West coaches as a third utility player for her strong showings as a pitcher infielder and outfielder in fall fastpitch softball. The Lady Warriors finished their season 18-13.
Nance is also on the Okarche Lady Warriors basketball team. Tilley is an assistant coach for Head Coach Haley Mitchel’s basketball team.
