Okarche softball team battled valiantly, but fell short in the regional tournament where their season ended Friday afternoon, Oct. 4.

The Lady Warriors started their day by holding the home team to a scoreless seventh inning before scoring in the top of the inning Friday in their battle to stay alive in the regional tournament.

Callie Cramer scored on an RBI from Brittney Darst, and Okarche led Binger-Oney Friday 1-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs. It was their first game of the day Friday.  A double with two outs from Binger-Oney put a baserunner at second with freshman Lawson Geheb pitching. But then a ground ball ended the game in the Warriors favor.

They needed to win two more games to advance to the state tournament.
