Kassidy Rother was a mainstay on the girls basketball team at Okarche this season. She helped lead the team in scoring multiple times throughout the year and helped guide the Warriors to the 2019 Class A district tournament, falling just one game away from state.

Rother enjoys many hobbies away from athletics and already has an idea about what she wants to study in college and where she wants to be post-graduation. Rother sat down for an interview with sports editor Trey Hunter in the winter and here is what she had to say:

Q: What is your favorite hobby outside of basketball and why?

A: My favorite hobby outside of basketball is going to the lake with my family.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school and why?

A: My favorite class is definitely anatomy. I’ve always enjoyed learning about how the body works.

Q: Have you chosen what you want to study in college? Why?

A: I plan to attend The University of Tulsa in pursuit of a nursing degree.

Q: Who would you say is your hero? It could be a family member, athlete, etc. and why?

A: My idol would most definitely be my dad. He never fails to find time to come to the gym with me.

Q: What is your favorite moment playing for the basketball team in your career and why?

A: My favorite basketball memory was when a former teammate got hit in the face with the basketball on a pass and it ripped off her eyelashes.
