The fifth-ranked Lady Warriors returned from Christmas break with a dominant, 55-21 win over Class 2A Cordell Tuesday night at home.

Okarche pitched a shutout in the first quarter and never looked back, turning a 10-0 lead into a 24-12 advantage at halftime. A 15-5 run in the third quarter all but sealed the victory before a 16-4 run in the final eight minutes.

Raegan Robinson scored five points of her team-high 15 points to help lead the Lady Warriors’ first-quarter run. Madison Owens, Sage Griswold and Kelsee Brown scored two points apiece in the quarter. Owens and Brown each finished with eight points while Griswold finished with six.

Brown led the way with six points in the second quarter while Robinson scored three.
Jalie Rother and Griswold each scored two points and Owens scored one. Rother finished with 12 points in the win.

Robinson scored eight points in the third quarter while Owens scored three. Rother and Ryen Wittorck each scored two points. Rother scored eight points in the fourth quarter while Tyson Endres scored six.

The win marked the 10th straight for coach Kelli Jennings’ squad, a span dating back to a win over Class 3A Harding Fine Arts on Nov. 19. The streak also includes a championship run in the Garber Tournament.

Okarche returns to action today in the 2020 Three Rivers Conference tournament at 10 a.m. against Harding Fine Arts. The winner moves on to face either Thomas or Crescent in the semifinals at 3:20 p.m. on Friday.
