The Okarche Lady Warriors traveled to Fairview Friday night and earned a victory against the Yellowjackets in a close game, pulling away late on free throws.
Head Coach Haley Mitchel said after the game that not playing a regular schedule shows on the court. But there is no lack of fight in the girls. Distance learning, quarantines and conditioning changes have been a part of 2020.
“The girls played hard and fought the entire game. We have a lot to work on after not playing for a while,” Mitchel said. “I am hoping the girls will have some continuity with the season moving forward.”

The girls won 55-51, giving first year Coach Haley Mitchel her second win.
Jadyn Rother scored eight points, Jalie Rother, six, Karsyn Vallerand, 8, Ryen Wittrock, 12, Emma Stover, one point, Tyson Endres, 9 and Sophie Vandendriessche had three points.
