A tornado watch has been issued until 7 p.m. for Kingfisher County, the National Weather Service reported Thursday afternoon.
A 1:15 p.m. Thursday, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 4 miles west of Dover moving east at 30 mph.
People should get to shelter immediately in the area. Radar has indicated rotation in the storm.
At 2 p.m. the warning expired, and the weather service issued a tornado watch for Kingfisher and Canadian counties until 7 p.m.
