As snowfall and freezing temperatures moved into central Oklahoma Wednesday afternoon, Okarche Public Schools Superintendent Josh Sumrall announced schools will be closed Thursday.
“Okarche Public Schools will be closed Thursday, Feb. 3 due to the inclement weather and severe wind chills. This will be a snow day. There will be no virtual learning. All activities scheduled for Thursday will also be canceled,” Sumrall reported.
Plans for classes Friday will be announced Thursday afternoon or evening, Sumrall said.
