It’s one of the biggest events of the year and is set for Saturday, as the Okarche Community Fair returns for its 2022 entry.
The annual event will feature a fun run, dog show, livestock show and contests, archery and pie tasting contests, horse show, food trucks and concession stands and much more, organizers said.
Doors open at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at Okarche High School, the main hub of activity for the annual event – with coffee and donuts available for those who want to make an early start.
For those hoping to get a little exercise early, a 1-mile fun run/walk is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m., with the start line on the north line of Okarche High School.
Anyone who wishes to participate in the run must sign a waiver; hard copies will be available Saturday at the entry table. Registration can be completed online on Eventbrite by going to the community fair Facebook page and clicking on the fun run link.
Fair books are available at several locations across Okarche, including the office at Okarche High School, Community National Bank, First Bank of Okarche, the U.S. Post Office, pharmacy or Tower Café.
