Benjamin Jason Bradshaw completed his 52 years of life experiences on May 28, 2022 in Piedmont, Oklahoma.
He was the beloved son of the late State Representative Mark ‘Buzz’ Bradshaw, Carolyn ‘Sparky’ (Sparkman) Bradshaw Dawson and Larry Dawson of Packsaddle, Oklahoma, and the father of two beautiful daughters, Frankie Jo Bradshaw and Kellie Brooke Bradshaw of Piedmont, Oklahoma.
He was the big brother of Jack Bradshaw and his wife Jennifer and their children, Perry, Cal and Sunny of Grant, Oklahoma; Julie Johnson and her husband Adam and their daughter Leddy of Packsaddle, Oklahoma; and Jace Dawson and his wife Alyson and their children Rhett and Katie of Owasso, Oklahoma. He had treasured aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Jason joins his Dad, Buzz Bradshaw, Gramps and Granny Colonel and Mozelle Sparkman, W. Perry and Mary Bradshaw, Granny Faye Dawson, aunts Harriet Watson and Sandra ‘Auntie’ Tyner, uncles Fred Dawson and Mike Bradshaw and other loved ones that have completed their earthly journey.
The first chapter of the journey for Jason began on August 26, 1969 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, and life for him was a big adventure. His childhood days were spent on the ranch east of Packsaddle and every day brought a new plan of action or just mischief with no plan at all. He attended Arnett Public Schools, played basketball and baseball and was active in FFA. He was a twelve-year graduate and a member of the Wildcat graduating class of 1987. Most of his class started kindergarten together and graduated together – God Bless Those Teachers!
A new chapter began with his enrollment at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) fraternity and the OSU Flying Aggies, where he received his pilot’s license. Jason enjoyed the comradeship of his fraternity brothers and friendships were made during his college years that followed him through his lifetime. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1992. He lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for a time before settling in Piedmont, Oklahoma.
Another new chapter had begun and it was titled ‘Fatherhood.’ Jason returned to some of his roots as a strong stock show supporter when Frankie Jo and Kellie were involved in the showing of cattle and hogs. He was very proud of their accomplishments in the show ring and their school sporting events. Jason deeply loved his girls, they were the highlight of his life and he would want them to know that.
Jason was industrious and brainstorming and always on the hunt for a new adventure. He was an entrepreneur and branched out to other projects associated with his Rhino Spray Foam Insulation business in Piedmont, Oklahoma. He loved stock car racing and proclaimed himself an ‘amateur professional’ driver. He enjoyed raising cattle, fishing and hunting, all sports (especially baseball) and was a casino enthusiast. He was a member of the Texas Southwest Cattle Raisers Association and the NRA. He was baptized at the age of twelve at the First Baptist Church in Arnett, Oklahoma, and attended the Methodist Church in Piedmont since residing there.
Jason was quick to make new friends, tell a joke or two and pull a few pranks- anything for a fun time. The sharing of memories and ‘Jason stories’ will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
