Warriors are ranked #9 in Class A fall baseball, win first game 13-2

The Okarche bats have been blazing, and the runs kept piling up as the Warriors won the Class A district tournament Friday in Okarche.

The 21-3 Warriors faced Vici Friday afternoon and won 12-2. The took home the district tournament championship hardware too.

Easton Roby was on the mound, and he struck out two batters in the top of the first inning.

At the plate, Roby drove in Luke Hill for an RBI on an error by the second baseman and Okarche took a 1-0 early lead. Brett Carnott singled on a line drive to right field, and Roby scored to make it 2-0 at the end of one.

In the top of the third inning Vici homered, narrowing the lead to 2-1.

Carnott doubled in the bottom of the third and drove in two more runs from Luke Hill and Roby to answer.

 

Games won Thursday, Sept. 21

The first inning of the Class A 2023 fall baseball district tournament was a good one for the Okarche Warriors on their way to a convincing win.

There were back-to-back triples by Luke Hill and then Easton Kirby, both just out of reach of the center fielder for Fargo-Gage/Fort Supply. Then there was a two-run home run blast that cleared the left field fence by Ryder Lykins, and Okarche led 6-0 at the end of one.

Okarche, 22-3 overall and ranked 9th in Class A, smashed Vici 25-2 in their second game of the tournament Thursday.
