The memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Randy Joseph Mendel, 66, of Enid, will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday January 6, 2023, in the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Fairmont.  Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. 

Randy was born February 14, 1957, to Anthony and Bonnye Mendel in Okarche, Oklahoma and passed from this life December 26, 2023 in Enid, Oklahoma. 

He was raised and educated in Okarche graduating with the class of 1975. He married the love of his life Cindy Litschke January 8, 1976, in the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Enid, Oklahoma, from this union came three children Amy, Kurt, and Jennifer. He entered the workforce working in the oil and gas industry and was quickly promoted to sales/management due to his incredible work ethic and character. He managed for Dowell Schlumberger for the majority of his career and worked with several other companies until his retirement. Randy had a giving and honorable soul, always accepting people where they were. 

After retirement some of Randy’s most memorable and enjoyable times were helping his son Kurt at Mendel Hereford Ranch until he was medically unable. Randy had such a love for his family and adored each and everyone of his children and grandchildren.  

He is survived by his wife Cindy Mendel, of the home, three children, Amy McKinney and spouse Damon McKinney.  Kurt Mendel and spouse Kelly Mendel.  Jennifer Branham and spouse Cody Branham.  Grandchildren Logan McKinney, Mya McKinney, Tony McKinney, Lily McKinney, Aurora McKinney,  Jacob McKinney, Ryker McKinney, Kade Mendel, Kooper Mendel, Cameron Smith, Clayton Smith, Randa Smith, Raegan Smith, Noah Branham, and OakLee Branham.

He was preceded in death by his parents Tony and Bonneye Mendel his Brother Anthony Mendel, Sister Sue Mendel and Grandson Will McKinney. 

Memorials may be made in his honor to Dementia and Alzheimer’s Foundation of Oklahoma with Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home serving as custodian of the funds.
