Lady Warriors extend win streak to 18 games with Coyle tourney title

COYLE – The Lady Warriors extended their streak to 18 games last weekend with championship run in the Coyle Invitational.

Okarche knocked off Class B Mulhall-Orlando 73-39 in the first game last Thursday before a 53-27 win over Class B Okeene on Friday. The Lady Warriors notched the tournament championship with a 41-30 win over Class 2A Crescent on Saturday.

Four players scored in double digits in the team’s win over Mulhall-Orlando, including Rachel McDowell with 14, Jalie Rother with 13, Marlo Hunt with 12 and Kelsee Brown with 12.

Three scored in double digits against Okeene, including Hunt with 13, McDowell with 11 and Raegan Robinson with 10.

Two scored in double digits against Crescent in the championship game, including Robinson with 18 and McDowell with 12. Rother chipped in six in the tournament winner while Brown scored four and Hunt scored two.

Okarche continues the regular season Saturday against No. 2 Calumet on the road before traveling to Amber-Pocasset next Friday night.
