Knights of Columbus members place flags at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery

In honor of Veterans Day, members of the Knights of Columbus visited the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Okarche two days before Veterans Day.

On Tuesday morning Tom Schaefer and others with the Fourth Degree Okarche Knights of Columbus Father Stanley Rother Assembly, completed a job of placing 176 flags at veterans’ graves, many at relatives of long-time Okarche families, such as Schwarz, Mueggenborg and many others.

The Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery is the resting place of Civil War veteran Michael Shearn.
